JACKBIRD LEE

Jackbird Lee is a queer trans man living in New England. He shares his home with a multitude of critters, including three cats, one rabbit, a leopard gecko, and his sister.

Jackbird fell in love with gothic and urban fantasy as a child, watching and re-watching movies like Howl's Moving Castle and The Nightmare Before Christmas. He fell in love with boys who bite a few years later, when he first picked up Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire and never looked back. His first published book, Mortal Magic: Stray, is the prototypical demonstration of his obsession with men who have feathers, sharp teeth, and complex morality.

Besides writing, Jackbird is passionate about community-building and is a proponent of buying locally grown foods and shopping at small businesses. He is also hugely grateful to everyone who supports him, including his family, his friends (shout out to the creatures!), and his awesome readers.
